Admissions

Bak Middle School of the Arts (MSOA) offers 6th, 7th and 8th grade students creative and artistic opportunities in the areas of Communication Arts, Dance, Music (Band, Piano, Strings, and Vocal), Theatre, and Visual Arts. The school’s curriculum challenges students to achieve a high standard of artistic professionalism and academic excellence.

 

Bak School Tours – All tours for the 2016-17 school year have ended.  Tours will begin again in October 2017.

In order to be eligible for admission into Bak MSOA, students must submit a completed application (by the due date) to The School District of Palm Beach County’s Department of Choice and Career Options, audition, and earn a “passing score” for one of the school’s art programs. The student and parent/guardian must be a full-time resident of Palm Beach County.

Request for copies of audition score sheets:  Deadline April 28, 2017.

Parents must mail their completed 2017 Audition Score Sheets Request form along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to:

Requests will be processed and mailed for students with an “Ineligible” status in the order they are received. Requests from students with “Accepted or Wait Pool” status will be processed and mailed in June 2017.

Request for score sheets MUST be received by April 28, 2017.  No request will be processed after this date, and no request will be processed while a parent waits in the school lobby.
